The 2020 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report calls for countries to concentrate on those being left behind and widen the understanding of inclusive education to include all learners. It presents a tremendous opportunity to shift the needle on discourse on inclusion and education.
On International Literacy Day, the GEM Report and the CIES Inclusive Education Special Interest Group (SIG) will co-host a webinar to discuss the Report’s findings and recommendations with academics and leading experts from around the world. The event will feature inputs from two of the GEM Report’s Senior Policy Analysts, as well as Inclusive Education SIG members working to reach the most marginalized.
The webinar is aimed at academics, one of the core audiences for the GEM Report, but is open to anyone with an interest in education who would like to take part.
In advance of the discussion we invite you to download the Report, and take part in the GEM Report's poll to vote for which of the Report’s ten key recommendations should be prioritised first in your country.
