From Jamaica to China: New eval. on China REACH home visiting program

In an Human Capital and Economic Opportunity (HCEO) working paper, HCEO Director James J. Heckman, Early Childhood Interventions (ECI) Network members Lu Mai and Bei Liu and co-author Jin Zhou, evaluate the causal impacts of China REACH, an early childhood home visiting program based in rural China. They find that the program substantially improves child language, cognitive, fine motor-, and social-emotional skills development, and that impacts are especially strong in the most disadvantaged communities.
