Building on their experience responding to the Ebola crisis, RAN will develop pedagogical content for 30 minute lessons to be broadcasted over the radio for 20 weeks. The lessons will focus on foundational skills, including basic literacy and numeracy. Alongside the radio programs, RAN will use text messages to improve take-up of the radio programming and to communicate important health and safeguarding information - e.g. to encourage students not to engage in risky behavior.

Rising Radio Program (C-19)

A partnership between Rising Academy Network (RAN), EducAid, and the Sierra Leone government will launch a national distance learning program for primary school children, using radio and SMS.
