Secondary School Improvement Programme (SSIP)
Summary: SSIP is a project designed by the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre that seeks to improve Grade 12 results in the province of Gauteng, South Africa. Description of Scale and Reach
The program was introduced for Grade 12 learners in ten key subject areas in 2010. In 2011, SSIP introduced Grades 10 and 11 to the program with Mathematics, Accounting, and Physical Sciences tuition. Since 2012, SSIP has run programs for Grades 8 and 9 in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Economics & Management Sciences, and included e-learning programs. Grades 8 and 9 can now take Mathematics lessons that are broadcast electronically.
