Description of Scale and Reach
In the beginning, Mexicanos Primero's main function was to conduct research and collect data. Over the years, the organization has evolved to pursue a broader agenda through public policy advocacy, media campaigns, and outreach to connect private sector actors with the national government and MOE. Through these activities, Mexicanos Primero has both broadened its reach within Mexico and influenced public policy on a variety of educational issues. The organization has also grown to influence regional and international education policy. Mexicanos Primero is a co-founder of the Latin American Network of Civil Society Organizations for Education (REDUCA) and also a member of the Technical Advisory Group on the UN’s Global Education First Initiative (GEFI).
