Description of Scale and Reach
Junior Achievement Kenya, a member country of Junior Achievement Worldwide, was started in 1999 with its operation in Kenya’s capital city Nairobi with 10 schools. To date the program has grown to 7 out of the 8 regions in the country with a population of 400 schools and 30,000 students directly being impacted with our programs. During inception the program was private sector driven with mentors being drawn from private sector to run the club. As the number of school increased and after partnering with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, schools have owned the program and now it's a school driven program in which this strategy has led to growth of schools from 10 to 300.
