INJAZ Young Volunteers Day
Summary: INJAZ Young Volunteers Day is an annual program that seeks to instill the values of volunteerism among youth in Jordan. Through service, students refine valuable communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills that help them to grow as individuals and as a part of the community. --- INJAZ has the largest network of volunteers in Jordan, dealing with 4,000 to 5,000 volunteers on a yearly basis. Young Volunteers Day was initiated to promote a culture of volunteerism among Jordanian youth and raise awareness about social responsibility. Description of Scale and Reach
INJAZ piloted Young Volunteers Day in the 2009/2010 academic year, benefitting 118 students. The following year, the program was expanded to cover more schools, reaching over 3,800 students. In subsequent years the program has had a beneficiary outreach exceeding 10-15,000 students per year.
