Summary: The Contracts for Dreams Program assesses the impact of 3-year full funding commitments to attend high school on poor, rural seventh and ninth grade junior high students’ enrollment in senior high schools. --- The Contracts for Dreams Program assesses the impact that early commitments to financial aid has on increasing rural junior high students’ enrollment in senior high schools. Description of Scale and Reach
The program was launched in 2010 by surveying students in seventh grade and ninth grade. The poorest students in each class were chosen to receive financial aid commitments to attend senior high school. Follow-up tracking was then conducted each year.
