Summary: Through this program, community members volunteer to serve as tutors for Grade 1 and 2 children with low academic performance that are at risk of dropping out of school. They tutor children individually or in small groups and follow up with each child's teacher and parents to discuss the child's progress. --- Problem the program addresses: Katanga province in the Democratic Republic of Congo faces continued crises and population movements including those of refugees and returnees. Many areas are isolated and hard to reach.
