The Macao Tong Chai Charity Association (MTCCA) is a private foundation registered in Macao, China. Currently, it focuses on promoting access to better education for vulnerable children and teenagers, as well as promoting social entrepreneurship in potential young leaders to tackling social and education problems in China. They believe education is the fundamental way to reduce poverty and injustice. They work mainly by making grants to projects which are effective, innovative, scalable and sustainable.

MTCCA’s project areas include preschool education, basic education, higher education, vocational education. In all these project areas, their projects focus in two aspects: access to education and improvement of the quality of education.

Their key focuses are:
1. Improving education quality and equity by enhancing the teaching and learning materials, improving classroom curriculum, promoting extracurricular activities, refining teachers’ capability, ameliorating the monitoring and evaluation of learning outcomes.
2. Ensuring access to education of the minorities and students from the remote villages as well as reducing the dropout rate in secondary schools.
3. Exploring systematic and sustainable solutions by supporting local pilot projects with the engagement of relevant stakeholders including government agencies, communities and institutes.
